Commercial Interior Design

Our commercial interior design experience in Cornwall is as varied as the county itself. From the still waters of Charlestown to Newquay’s turbulent surf; from airport to pub to dental practice; from restyle and refresh to a full, from-the-ground-up rebuild or new build. Whatever the project, in whatever sector, and however different they look, what they share is a focus on what you want, a sense of joint enterprise and collaboration, and a willingness always to strive harder and go further, until all your expectations are met, then exceeded.

Bar, restaurant, hotel and retail spaces in the South-West

No one eating out in Cornwall recently will fail to have noticed the changes which have swept the county, changes we’re proud to have been a part of. This revolution in what you can enjoy has gone hand-in-hand with equally dramatic transformations in where you can enjoy it. We’ve breathed new life into a flagging old pub, revamped a café and restaurant in the sand dunes, designed an award-winning pop-up and (further afield, in Bath) helped a high-quality boutique hotel to stay ahead of the competition with striking room refurbs.

Whatever the scale and nature of your business, and whether the project’s a full refit or a lighter-touch update, our process is the same: who are you, why do you exist, where are you going? The answers to these questions involve analysis of the space and of your customers’ journey and experience; alongside this, we prioritise useable and functional design which works for you and your employees too. All of this applies to retail spaces no less than to hospitality; and in undertaking such projects, we’re always careful to research – and bring out in our work – the history, culture, lifestyle and roots of a place. The uniqueness of our offering – the fact that we have equal expertise and experience in graphics and branding – means a seamless meshing of architecture, interiors and brand.

Wadebridge Dental

Practically, collaborating with us is a total, concept-to-specification, tender-to-completion service which means close partnerships with architects and site managers throughout, including monthly site visits. Our big-picture thinking involves working in fine detail: window colours, paint tones, skirting details, ironmongery, internal doors, bespoke joinery, floor and wall finishes all fall under the overall remit, as do bar designs, electrical and RCP lighting designs and space planning. We’re always on hand for orders and deliveries and, because of our long experience and local knowledge, enjoy strong relationships with shopfitters, joiners and local makers.

Visual Merchandising

Regardless of what you sell and on what scale, investing in good visual merchandising is always money well spent. Shop-floor layouts, POS, windows, styling: when you create a consistent and coherent house style for your brand, you’re not just acquainting customers with who you are and what you’re like, you’re guaranteeing their familiarity with it in any and all of your stores. Product placement is also crucial to success. Having the best products in customers’ sight-lines, with key features displayed, is an essential contributor to boosting sales and increasing profits.
