Seaglass House
St. Mawes
Residential Interior Design
Ambition
Our clients for this project lived out of Cornwall. Our job was to work closely, not just with them, but with their architects too, on their new home in St Mawes. We were part of this process from the beginning, and the collaboration between all parties saw us help to develop internal finishes and costings to support the build tender stage.
Solution
The solution in this instance was diligence, thoroughness and oversight. From the start, we project-managed all elements of the interior design and fit-out: holding regular team site meetings, issuing detailed drawings to the trades, designing and detailing bespoke items (like the living room’s amazing bar, the cinema-room with acoustic panelling and the kitchen’s TV unit). Balancing our creative flair was our responsibility for a complete FF&E schedule, and for everything from ordering and managing deliveries through to final dressing.
Results
Practically, all good: on time and on budget. Emotionally, even better: a very happy client with a beautiful home. Spaces and colours blend and flow perfectly. But enough of what we think: “From start to finish they delivered on vision, design, talent, passion, perseverance and whole lot of fun thrown into the mix … Given the disruptions posed by the pandemic, Absolute had to work extremely closely with the rest of the team on the project – they did this with patience and professionalism.”
“It has been an absolute pleasure working with Absolute on our beautiful home. We honestly could not be happier with the end result. From start to finish Absolute delivered on vision, design, talent and passion. Helen and Zella went above and beyond the call”
