New name, brand and packaging for an innovative beauty product
Our clients wanted to develop a new brand which promoted water-free products, starting with an innovative range of dry sheet masks. The sheet mask market is expected to grow by over £120m by 2024, so it was crucial to come up with a name and brand which would really stand out. Our job was just that, to develop everything: a name, brand identity, tone of voice and packaging.
NO2O [pronounced NO 2 OH] arose from the business’s fundamental premise: that water is not an effective component of skincare products. Our client’s brief was a lifestyle brand with modern styling and real shelf stand-out, but with the confidence to talk with authority about the science behind the products. A bright colour palette differentiated simply between the products, while creating a striking shelf presence against the simple but confident black and white branding.
NO2O won three Global Beauty industry awards in the six months after launch, gaining market share in this innovative and growing product group. Positive reviews by social media influencers are helping to build the brand’s momentum, while its name and style give the business opportunities to grow its product range as it develops.
